Mommy's Night In

Daddy had a meeting at school, so the boys and I enjoyed some quality time. We picked up fast food ( I know, bad mommy!) and went home for some good times. We worked on our alphabet via songs, puzzles and magnetic letters. I knew my early childhood degree would be useful one day!! Pictures all out of order.... Turner enjoyed playing with his Thomas sticker book. Funny boy loves to put stickers all over his arms like a cast! And of course, we had to wear our Thomas pj's!!
Taylor copied his brother, but really preferred to just watch Thomas and Friends, the movie!
This was the beginning of the night!!!
Taylor playing in the bathtub while Turner and I found abc songs on "...puter!

Before and After

After bath and before the brush was placed......

Afterwards shot: Handsome boys!!!

Beaufort!!

In celebration of my cousin, Wesley, bringing his family to Beaufort, we traveled south for a day's trip. Wes is my cousin because my mom and his dad are siblings. Wes has lived up north since I can remember, so we only see each other every few years at the most. I have met his wife, whom he has been married to for 10 years only once and have never met his 9 year old son. So, good times were had by all!!! Taylor deciding whether he loved Aunt Micki's straws or the giraffe more!
Jacob (Wesley and Val's son) and Turner playing trains.
Taylor helping Boo open her presents...dishes!
Oh, can you see the joy in Boo's eyes! Now we all know where I got my love for dishes!!! One day, I will have a china room like the White House. Ditto for Boo. Poor Gan and Daddy-o!
Turner still playing alone, despite Jacob leaving to play with Taylor.
Sweet Jacob playing with Taylor near the Demi Moore bathtub. The bathtub in this house was used in some movie with Demi Moore. Anyone remember a scene where Demi Moore lounged in a claw foot antique white bathtub???
Cousin Valerie getting a hug from Turner.
Taylor getting hugs from Val and Jacob.
Jacob hugging Taylor.
Turner hugged everybody before we left. Guess it was the sweetness of being with family that made him so loving!!! Thanks to Micki and Jim for hosting us. We all had a blast and enjoyed our visit so much. The visit wore everybody out. Daddy and boys slept the whole way home.

Top 10 Misses of last few weeks:

Thank you avid readers for your patience! We have been crazy busy these past few weeks (1 closing for a first home buyer client, 1 GI illness, league mttgs, and many playdates!!!) and I had a short week with a missing camera. Good news: we are back!!!
1. Playdate with Noelle and Caitlin.....the boys, girls and mommy's had so much fun!!!
2. Snakes, bugs, insects....the boys love them all. Just this week, during a date afternoon with mommy, Turner said " Go Target. Buy bugs." This is my kid. A Target lover!!!

3. This is Taylor's latest obsession. He likes to close his eyes and then re-open them to see if you are watching him. Funny boy!!!

4. Thank you Boo and Gan for babysitting so mommy and daddy could attend the Wine and Food Festival's Barbeque and Beer Fest!!! Here is Turner showing mommy everything that he and Boo did to the train room while we were gone!!

5. Gan and Taylor: Good job distracting Tay so we could get away Gan!!!!
6. Visit with Nanny Dove: always love a visit from Nanny Dove! A special thanks to my friend Jimmy for delivering a cake for us to enjoy! And a special thanks to Aunt Amma and Martha to bringing Nanny to us!!!

Taylor and Great Aunt Martha

7. Play time at Boo and Gan's 4th floor play room. Turner asks to go to Boo and Gan's on a daily basis. We are not sure if he likes the toys, individualized one on one with Boo or being away from his brother! Taylor prefers walking down to the battery to see the ships, horses and downtown attractions!!
How cool is this room?
8. Both boys love to show off their verbal skills. Turner always counts..." 1, 2, 6,7,8,9, 10" and just today, sang "twinkle, twinkle little star". Taylor knows his colors (red, orange, yellow, brown, blue).....special thanks to daddy who made him some flash cards on sticks!!
9. Party at Madison's for St. Patrick's Day! T and T loved the slide, while the girls......
played in the house!!! Here are Sweet ole Lily and Madison, who used to be Turner's girlfriends. We hear from Mrs. Meka that Turner and Mary Wells seem to the newest couple in the toddler room! Funny thing, Turner might really have a crush because when you ask him about Mary Wells, he denies playing with her and turns away shyly. How can this be beginning so early!!!

Triplet Date: "Dabis" (Davis) came home with us and went to the party so our dear friend Kelly and Tom could go out to celebrate Kelly's birthday!!! Here are Turner and Davis playing in the jump castle!!!
Taylor pushing Davis in the police car!!!

10. I wish I had a photo to go with this one. Lately, the boys have really gotten into loving on each other, us and everybody!!! They will come give us open kisses night-night, hug each other when one is crying and when asked , " who do you want to play with", they shout out " everybody" with open arms. Just today, Turner fell and was crying pretty hysterically. Taylor ran up to him and hugged him hard and Turner leaned his head on his shoulder. I wanted to cry!!! We love our sweet boys!!

Out Boat with Weathersby's

The Weathersby's joined us "out boat" today. The weather was looking iffy, but we knew Taylor would not let the day occur without a boat trip " out boat, big boat". Turner enjoyed playing in the sand as Rowan looks on.
Mary Phares and Rowan (twins--5 y/o) were great sports and so sweet to the boys. I remember when they were just the boy's age!!! Oh, how time flies!!!

Turner collecting shells for his sand creations!!
Taylor pointing and shouting " go daddy-o". Taylor loves his daddy!!!
Turner chasing Mary P and Rowan down the beach!! Oh, what fun they had....pretending to be monsters and chasing each other. I can thank Mary P and Rowan for the boy's extra long naptime!!!
Mary P, T and T look on at the smelly horseshoe crab. Of course, Turner loved the bugs swarming around it!!!
Turner and his "I'm tired" stare.
T and T running from mommy after wading in the water!!! What a great way to start the warm weather boating season!!

Happy SURPRISE birthday, Clay!

Not one, but two babysitters canceled on us, so we took the boy's to Clay's surprise 40th birthday celebration!!! Here is Turner playing with his trucks between daddy and Aunt Sabrina's feet.
Cheese nips are better when they are eaten from a dump truck when you are laying down in the middle of a big party!!!
Taylor " up, up, up" to his daddy!! Thank goodness this was a casual affair. Hope we didn't scare Clay and Tara, who are expecting their first son this summer!!!
Tara and the birthday boy with Baby Jamison!!!
Turner organizing and counting his gummy bears!!!
Taylor chowing on the artichoke and spinach dip by the oysters!!
T and T taking over the tennis courts!! Wish these pictures did the justice of the fun they had.
Need I say more??
Look at those smiles!!!

fun times at 2 1/2

I am not sure if this is my favorite age or not. It seems that every age so far has been my favorite, well favorite after 6 months!!!

Taylor loves to sleep with his blue blankie and "puppy". He will ask to be "cover up" and will say "night night" . Sometimes, he asks to go to bed and is usually the last one up in the mornings. He is usually grumpy when he first gets up. Poor guy must have my sleep disorder!!!

Turner loves to sleep with a billion and one animals. He has to invite them all in. Before the lights go out, he will start throwing books, toys, animals and anything else that he wants in the crib. Can't blame the kid though. He doesn't require as much sleep as brother and wakes up refreshed and happy. Many times, we will find him playing in the bed quietly before we even know that he is up. At night, he will play in his bed and always says " mommy wait". I hate to say "no" so i say " mommy wait in her room". He seems to be ok with it a majority of the time. He still loves his monkeys and knows where the extra monkeys hide and can be found stealing all 4 monkeys for nap/bedtime. (This day, he fell asleep in the car. Turn loves to nap in the car, just little cat naps.)

" out boat" "out big boat" ....Tay still loves the boat. He will take the little boat around the lake, but being out in the big ole ocean in the "big boat" (all 17 feet of it. lol.) is his favorite!
Turn likes the boat, but would rather be at home chilling with his trains and cars or a movie. As you see, the snakes came along for this ride!
Taylor wouldn't take his jacket off again. I kept trying to tell him that because of the rain we couldn't go "out boat". Sweet ole Ben finally caved and took him "out boat" on the little boat in the pond with rain gear and all.

Turner is a meat and fruit guy. Deli meat, bacon, sausage, chix nuggets... No veggies, but don't forget the milk to drink! He will skip the desserts most of the time with a preference for salty stuff or fruit!!!

Taylor loves a "nack.." He is a good eater but loves junk food and especially sweet. Meltdowns are still present, as he insisted on leaving the life jacket on while he ate lunch. He was mad at who knows what. Time out, yes, we are there often!!!

Here is a Turner's new haircut. Popsicles and gummy's are great rewards!!!
