Thank you Auntie Jane!

We were minding our own business when a knock arrived at the door. Lots of pointing and " uh-uh-uh" as the UPS driver attempted his quiet delivery. Three dogs and twin toddlers trying to open the door, mommy made it through to see the huge package from Chicago.

From my fave Auntie Jane! Auntie Jane is my grandma Nanny Y's sister and a dear to me. She and her brother, Uncle Kenny, let me live with them in graduate school as I interned at Children's Hospital for acute care birth-1 pediatrics. Auntie Jane has always been so dear to me. we bonded over that 12 week rotation and I miss her terribly!!! I wish she were closer to help with the boys. She is an amazing cook, best chauffer and a great companion. We both love to read recipes, collect cookbook and try new things!! One of the many surprises in the package--Monsters for the boys! See the smiles...they LOVE them!
Taylor is checking him out from a far...at first.

As Thing #1 talks to him, he laughs and inches closer...

As Thing #2 appears, they both giggle and grab for them. Bam, thing #1 to floor and thing #2 in Turner's hands.

The boys crash, as mommy lays out of the couch with her box of Fannie Mae Chocolates (my fave) and her new cookbooks. Thank you Auntie Jane! I am making my grocery list as I have found 100+ great new recipes. I tend to use my ECO-friendly new bag and am super pumped!!! Love you, Auntie Jane and Thank you!!!
PS- SHHHHHH. Daddy knows nothing of the chocolates. My secret! : ) Maybe T and T will teach me to share.

Happy 10 year!!

Yes, we are old. May 2010 will mark 10 years from our MUSC graduation. In honor, we had a get together. Out of 13 graduating from the Masters in Speech Pathology, we had 11 attend. Pretty good odds, huh. We missed Julie Faubion from Ohio and Tiffany Dorsey because her sister was getting married. Love you , girls. Thanks for a great night!

CSD Class of 2000 and our wonderful professors, Dr. Elise and Laurel!!
Cori, Liz, Jen and Veronica

Vero and Liz! Double Trouble, back in the day! Two handsome hubbys, two baby girls and a set of fabulous twin boys....man, has our life changed!!!

Play Dates...

Date number ? With the Berlinsky Twins! And what a blast we had... We met for play and dinner at Party Kingdom in James Island (basically Chuck-E-Cheese that serves suishi, chinese, Thai and wine!!!). Here are the Slade boys as they ran from end to end in the booth with Lela, eating fruit, hot dogs, goldfish, yogurt melts, french fries and some dip-dip of mommy's wine!!

Meddin and Taylor (Both Baby B's) checking out the excitement from their car ride. (Aka: Taylor's first time picking up a lady in his big ole yellow and orange cruiser!)

The Slade boys took over the big slide!

Running around with this big ball was Turner's highlight of the night!

Daddy and Kenneth doing dady duty as Elizabeth and I enjoyed some wine. Now, this is what I call a double date! Great company, good wine, our happy twins with their lady friends and yummy food. Thank goodness for Elizabeth--I love our twin-iffic friendship!!!

Afternoon play time with our Davis!!

Happy birthday Walker Wall!

Turner, playing in the diapers.com box, giving a wave to me as I load up the car!

Jump Castle Fun at Walker's 2nd birthday!!!

"Whoa...." as Taylor tried to walk like he had on the trampoline the other weekend!!!

"Whoops" as he fell.

Snacktime!! Eating chips in the wagon with the birthday boy. Poor Turner got the raw end of this deal.

Yep, we're swimming in March!

The new best thing about having a sister who has a house in Charleston is her new pool!! Well, until mommy totally broke out in hives because of some weird reaction to the saltwater in the pool! Regardless, the day was frigidly crisp, the water was warm and we all had a blast!! Gan, Taylor and John testing the water...
Mommy, Turner and Boo. Just so my avid readers know, it has taken only 4 grandchildren to get Boo in the pool. Miracle number 100 that grandchildren offer!

Taylor was so relaxed that he nearly fell asleep in Gan's lap. Look at his eyes. They are growing sleepier and sleepier....

More fun times...

Savannah and our college friend, Alicia, after the pooltime! We are excited to be having another girlfriend for the boys arriving this summer!!!
Playing in Aunt Caroline and Uncle John's bed while checking out the ceiling fans....FUN TIMES!!!

Taylor snagged the bow out of Savannah's head and took over...our love bug himself!!!

Spring is almost here!

The warm weather has given us all spring fever bad. The boys want nothing to do with the inside, so outside we go. After wandering through our yard in search of nuts, leaves and missing "dead birds (Guinness' toys)" , we decided to start some chores.

The family that washes mommy cars keeps momma happy! The raincoats were needed because you can all imagine the mess that was made. A near clunk in the bucket caused Taylor to have to be changed on the front porch. If only, you all, could have seen Mr. Handsome running away from me as I changed him in 50 degree weather!!!

Before the big wash......

Changed and all dry! Who knew that a big old tank and some bubble wands could be so much fun!!!

Playing in the leaves was a hit. Throwing themselves in the pile was a hit. Picking up the leaves, one by one, and putting them in the bag was a hit! YES--We have future yard workers for free on our hands. THANK GOODNESS WE WERE BLESSED WITH TWIN BOYS! We will never have to hire another yard man again!!!

Mini Basketball Stars

Boo blessed us with these outfits and they were a total hit. The boys loved the coats that the first 10 minutes of them wearing them, they pointed to each other's balls and grunted.

Turner found momma's secret stash of Pop Tarts and was passing them out as I looked up from flat ironing my hair. Yes, fellow readers, I flat iron my hair every morning, no mirror, in the kitchen as the boys run around me. I am no morning person and will do whatever it takes to avoid getting up earlier than I have to!!

Turner got these hats and brought them to me for them to wear. Either he is brilliant (because they match perfectly) or they were top in the drawer!!

Mini Me Basketball Star, Taylor Slade!

How handsome are these fellas's???

Interesting Nap story...

No pictures, my friends, but a great story! I need to do more stories, as this is my T and T diary!

Boo and Gan came over to watch the boys while daddy and mommy met Aunt Sabrina and Uncle Jeff for lunch. Being the exercise freaks that they are, Boo and Gan wanted to walk the boys. Of course, Type A mommy left explicit instructions--no stroller because the boys will try to nap! I put "their cars" on the porch and instructed Boo and Gan to keep them up until we got home so we culd get them to nap in their cribs!!! Hence, mommy and could daddy could have an hour to themselves at home!!

Per Boo, Turner fell asleep upright in the car within the first block. Nice. So, instead of turning back, Boo and Gan keep going. For fear that he might tumble over, despite him having a seatbelt on, Gan graciously took off his belt and belted Turner's chest to his car. They keep going with Gan about to lose his pants because his belt is gone...for 45 minutes!!! He slept the whole time, waking up when they try to move him from the car to the crib. Awake, happy and ready for destruction!!!

Taylor enjoyed the one-on-one so much that he stayed awake almost the whole time. Grunting, chattering, laughing, checking everything out!!! The last block, his head started bopping and they were both out. What a sight that must have been. Too bad the camera was not present. Bet the neighbors wanted to call DSS. So, when Boo tried to move Taylor to the crib he cried, so she positioned him on the sofa. His longest nap ever at home......almost 2 hours!!

SSI: Happy SURPRISE Birthday, Uncle John!

Happy 40th To Uncle John!!!! The boys were invited to their first Friday night surprise party and did great. Surprisenly, they kept their heads high, laughed and loved the attention until way past their 7:30 bedtime!!!! Taylor and Turner starting the dancing under the lights before the band started!!

BALLOONS!!! Turner was in sheer love!!! Thank goodness that he gripped it tight, as it became my tracking device on him. I would loook for a stray balloon and there my buddy was!

Taylor showing off some "white boy" dance moves....

Turner's "white boy" dance moves with his buddy, Mr. Balloon!! You would have thought the stage was up there for them!!!

Havens and Sunny dancing the early night away...

Havens doing the "white man trot!!!" Love that kid. So missing her already. They are moving to Colorado in two days, so our heart is breaking but mommy is trying to be strong for daddy. His best friend and sister is moving cross country and taking our sweet nieces far away! We love you guys and look forward to our first ROAD TRIP!!!

Rush and Sunny.... " Staying alive, staying alive......"

"White Men" are hungry...again. I swear people ask " what do your boys like now". Um, eating and eating and more eating!!!

Taylor running away with the cake top.... thank goodness I saw him grab it beacuse that is an open door to a dark parking lot.

I was hugging him and posing for a picture with Aunt Eliza. I look at myself to see blue icing all over my coat and look at Taylor to see that he has just "double dipped" his fork in Uncle John's not cut yet cake!!!! Thank goodness Uncle John was busy with Tequila shots...we were safe! The cake eating can begin....

SSI: Race Time!

Saturday morning, we got up to go see our other nieces and nephews run ina fun run for their school. We were too slow and missed the race, but enjoyed seeing them afterwards. Here is Anna and Zoe posing for a shot with the boys! Yep, the boys are eating again!

Another snacktime--breakfast at Chickfilia!! Turner enjoyed being pushed around in the highchair with wheels!! Sweet ole Jack (right) shared his balloon by giving it to Turner!

Turner and Taylor staring at the balloons.

SS: Webster fun!

We have been way too busy for Blogging, but are back! Back from St. Simons and back into blogging...

Love the new bibs from IKEA bought from Boo!
Sweet Taylor enjoying a snack...17 months!

More Trampoline Fun but this time with daddy!!!
