Easter Egg Party!

Who celebrates Esater without dyeing some eggs? T and T might be young, but momma had to give it a try. It was perfect!!! Excuse the attire. I knew unless I wanted a clothing mess, we better strip down. I tried to get them to wear their diapers only, but Taylor refused, then Turner. What one brother does, the next does.
Turner, Easton (their good buddy and neighbor--age 4) and Taylor...Poor Taylor was being eaten alive by bugs until I got out the spray.
Go mommy on the creative table by Diapers.com (Just another reason to love them!!!)

Notice the eggs that Turner has in his bowl. Funny thing. We started off with them each picking out colors. " mine yerrow" "mine bweu..." We ended with a mixture of odd colors, but loved seeing them experiment.

Easton liked the blue, Turner like the green and orange and Taylor LOVED the yellow.

See that cute kid. He loved every minute of it....even the green hands and feet.

Look at that dark black water...anyone wanna guess how that was made?

Taylor grabbing the eggs for a speedy getaway......

The eggs were drying, but the fun lived on. Until mommy talked the boys into dying the grass colored. Yes, I am brilliant. It worked! They poured the colored water into the grass, waved goodbye and headed inside with their eggs for a nice, warm bath at 4pm.

Shellpoint Egg Hunt

The third annual Shellpoint Egg Hunt was a huge success.

Taylor, Mommy and Turner pose for a picture.

Taylor had to stop, open each egg, attempt to eat the treat before moving on to the next egg.

While Turner got the concept. He quickly gathered eggs, not looking back for mommy or Taylor.

Turner finding eggs hidden the cones. " Big one" as he found one cone with three eggs!!!

Priceless, as the Slade boys taken over the cones.

Snacktime with homemade cupcakes by the Slade boys. Here Taylor and Olivia are protecting the goodies.

T and T showing off the cupcakes on the walk home.

Strawberry Pickin' Time!!

Just another reason to love the lowcountry!!! Strawberry pickin' time at Boone Hall Plantation. T and T ready to go. Who would have known that their first time would have gone so smoothly?

After we explained the "you only pick the red ones"...they had it!!!

Close up of Turner!!!

Taylor takes a break from his strawberry picking to pose for a photo!

Taylor in action....

I love how this shows how comfortable they were. They would sit down and pick all the ones around them. Stand up again, look around, shout "yook (Taylor)" and continue picking!

Turner posing for a picture.

Look at the rows of strawberries!!! 1 hour of pure entertainment, two buckets full (only about a cup of green ones), and $7 dollars later, we were off to have dinner with the Kruse family!!!

We called the boys to come and found Taylor watching his competitor, the man in the green shirt.

And caught Turner sampling the goodies. Who could blame him. I had told them on the way there that we could not eat them until they had been washed at home, but...who knew how plump, bright red and ready to eat they would be. Naturally, I too had to sample them!! Wow--those were some good strawberries!

Turner reaching for another one.

Taylor carrying his bag to be weighed. I offered to help and he proudly said " I got it".

Out Boat with Weathersbys: Take II

The weather was less than desirable, but we knew out boat was the only way Taylor Slade would survive! Funny boy knows when it is the weekend and will not accept a "no boat" day. Daddy and Taylor bring water to our homemade sand pond, while Guinness supervises.
Jackson takes it easy after chasing dolphins along the surf.
Turner driving his boats through the homemade river.
Taylor dumping water into our homemade river!

College Park Elem Carnival

Daddy's school had their annual carnival, so the boys and I headed out to North Chuck!!! This was after the air show. Sorry, no pictures, but I was too busy chasing two rascals up and down the railroad track until I was informed by an off-duty cop that there was a $750 fine for playing on the railroad tracks. Whoops! Thank goodness for the boy's sweet laughs because if they had not been so stinking cute, I bet he would have ticketed us! T and T seeing their daddy for the first time in like 2 hours!!!
Decorating cookies in the school cafeteria!
Eating cookies! Yes, many of these pictures were eating. How else is this mom suppose to watch two wild boys, a stroller and get a photo!!!
The balloon man was a huge hit!!! Like our flowers??
Turner loved giving a high 5 to the crime dog!
Shaved snow cones fix everything!!! This was the after-math picture after a nervous breakdown by the boys. Daddy had to work his shift in the dunking bootha nd they freaked out when they saw him in it. They were hysterically crying and shouting " get out , daddy-o; no hurt daddy-o". Poor guys. It did look a lot like jail.
Turner helping mommy push the stroller after we danced our walk through the cake walk.
T and T loved the inside of the fire truck!!!
Turner checking out the fireman's coat.

Out Boat

Of course we went out boat last weekend! Only rain and wind stops this family from a day out on the water!!! Turner taking the drinks cooler to the boat.

Daddy and Taylor driving the boat.
Mommy and Turner taking a nap. (Girl's night out always make for a sleep mommy the next day.)
We're here! I love how this picture makes daddy look like an Asian who is going to dig rice out of the ground! And how cute does Turner look as he helps unload his sand castle stuff.
Taylor insisted on playing in the water!!!
Sweet ole Turner as he collected shells in his dump truck.

Shellpoint Picnic

I am not sure which friend of T and T it was, but whoever had the brillant idea of a picnic was so right! T and T's neighborhood pals asked them to join them in a picnic. We are so lucky that they already have neighborhood friends, who adore them and include them, despite their young age. Sterling and Easton driving the big "tools" needed for the picnic.
"Carpooling" to the picnic at our neighborhood's empty lot/park. T and T in the stroller, Lauren ahead, then Ashley & Liza leading the pack, as we wait for Erin who had to have her lunch made. Poor kid has more food allergies than me!!!
A little game of "Duck, Duck, Goose", as we wait for lunch to arrive.
T and T enjoying the appetizers.....pretzels!!! Notice the two different colored crocs. We could only find one pair of each color, and they both wanted the orange ones, so they each wore one.

Running to the pizza delivery man!!! Thanks daddy!!!
Juice boxes, pizza, pretzels and thin mints...life doesn't get better than this!
Erin, Taylor, Owen and Liza.....
Lauren, Ashley, Turner and Easton.....
Golf cart rides after a girls versus boys soccer game!!!
