Happy 93rd birthday, Nanny Dove!!!

It was a perfect day to spend with our nanny! Nanny Dove was turning 93. She lives alone in the same house she raised her kids and with her sound mind, gorgeous looks, vivacious personality and big ole smile. How lucky are we!!!
Taylor and Nanny greeting each other. I am not sure who was more excited!

"big hug!"

Lunchtime at Aunt Martha's where they were staying....

Juice, cake and chicken nuggets....life doesn't get much better than this!

Playing in Martha's toy closet and reading her classroom's ole books were just some of the highlights!!

Taylor getting tired, thus snuggling on Martha's lap. Poor kid was asleep before we left the island!

one month into big boy bed.....

We have survived the transition! There have been a few bumps in the road, but for the most part, it has been a breeze! T and T and their hundred furry friends, books, and favorite playmates have made the cut for bedtime. Even their baby refrigerator is being cleaned as I found many interesting things frozen in the freezor section. Whoops! T and T love sleeping together and we are happy to report they can sleep at night without a gate up and they stay in their rooms 99% of the time. Naptime is still a struggle....mommy has to lay down with them to keep them focused on "napping". But the good news is that we all getting an afternoon nap as their queen bed is big and too comfy enough for 3.

Playdates in August....

Summer was filled with many playdates. Mommy has gotten lazy with blogging and the camera. Part of it is the ease of playdates now. I can now officially enjoy a glass of wine in one hand and am too busy talking with my friends to take pictures. Sorry folks!! But we are loving this age....

Ms. Jody and James come over for dinner and cupcakes!!!

Needless to say, T and T loved the treats and the company!!!

Bubbly pool party....these were the only pictures that didn't have naked tooshes! You should have seen this day with four naked boys running, jumping and laughing.

Gunner and Turner eating popcorn and watching movies!!!

Guinnie enjoying the crumbs.

Berlinsky twins date! Two boys, two girls, two mommy friends, pizza, wine= super good time!!!

Taylor, Meddin, Lela and Turner watch movies and eat dinner so the moms can gab!!! Good times!!!

Play date with our sweet cousin Savannah. Yes, I missed the shopping trip and pool time on the camera. But I proudly report that Aunt Caroline and I handled 3 children under 3 alone at the pool. Go us!!!

Big Boy Bed!

It all started because Turner swore there was a man in his crib. "The man" came one night at 3 am an northing would make Turner believe that he was gone. So, fora week, Turner insisted on sleeping on the floor with Taylor in tow. Taylor: "i sweep with broder on four". So, after breaking down the railings and much persuasion, the crib, turned toddler bed, lay empty for another week. After the boys slept on the floor and the cribs laid empty, I knew it was time. Time for the unknown. I cried. Where were my babies? Where was my freedom going now that they would be "free"?

We originally ha decided on a trundle bunk bed. We had been reading books and they had decided on "their bed". Each time, Taylor wanted to be on top and Turner wanted to be on the bottom. Thankfully before the beds were purchased, they informed me " i sweep with bruder". So, my friends, a queen sized bed for twins, it was!!!

At first, it was a trampoline/diving board.

Then it was a diving board/belly flop board.

Then it was a practice ring for the circus tryouts with a cheerleader named Boo.

Then...they got it!! A bed. A place to sleep. A place to read quietly. A place to hug your brother. A place of rest.
