We have no photos but a quick story.
I dropped the boys off at school last week. One of the older girls in the class has a special interest in the boys. She is always coming right up to them, talking to them, taking their toys. Sort of the bully, but only because she is older, I think.
On this particular day, she came up to Taylor and was tapping him on the shoulder. When he ignored her, she pushed him down. Baby B Taylor down and in tears. Baby A Turner witnesses the event. Smack on the shoulder. Older girl down and in tears. Older girl back up and bam on the head...Baby A Turner down and crying. Baby B Taylor jumps up and pounces the girl. Lesson learned...Don't mess with a Slade boy because they have a best bud looking out for them!!!

Preview Party: Halloween
The boy's buddy, classmate and neighbor, Davis, invited us over for a preview party before the big night! Here are some photos: Davis is the cow, Taylor is the dalmation and Turner is the fireman.
Who said a cow can't drive a car?
Ole Georgia
Here are some of her our favorite Georgia photos. We know they are blurry, but wanted them to be in our memory ALWAYS.....
This post is dedicated to our sweet G. In her younger years, Ben says she was very reserved and a bit of a scaredy cat, always hiding for days under the house. She used to go to the marina with Ben every day, ride the bait boat and roll in the mud right when the work day was over! Hence, she was given the nickname " Dirty G".
G has always been sweet, but has gotten sweeter with the boys. She loves them and vice versa! I think it is her geriatric personality that attract them to her. Their desire to feed her makes her love them even more. She is so gentle with them. They love to pat her, hug her and just lay near her.
Georgia has been diagnosed with lung and spine cancer, which is a metastasis from skin cancer. Every day is a blessing, as there have been some scary days over the past week! She still wants to be with us, makes the trip up the stairs every night, eats her food and the boys, so we figure she is ok. Please keep her in your prayers, as we want her to only be pain free and happy for the remainder of her life! We know we have a tough day ahead of us in the near future, but are just loving her as much as we can for now!

Living a day with twins....
Pumpkin Patch Disaster!
Sweet Turner trying to move the pumpkin out of his way!
We should have known better than to try to get a photo with four kids under the age of 3 on a cold fall day. Poor Boo wanted a photo of her grandkids with their Halloween shirts. Poor thing is going to be sadly disappointed!!! Thanks Ms. B for the shirts--they are so cute on them!
Ok, the sun was in their eyes, no cookies were brought, both Slade boys had fallen asleep on the way to the patch and were abruptly woken for pictures, John 5 was more interested in pushing the pumpkins around than the photo and the daddy's were standing around and helping NONE with entertaining the kids. NICE, daddy's! The whole photo shoot produced only these pictures. Sorry Boo!

Virus, virus, go away!
So, mommy was dreading Monday for the obvious reasons. Work. Well, mommy now LOVES her daytime job and has new respect for stay at home moms. BIG TIME! I have been a stay at home mom this week and am exhausted. So tired that I am blogging only to keep my clock back on track, hoping to return to my paying job tomorrow.
Turner woke up with a raging fever (over 103 rectal) on Monday, thus I decided to keep both boys out. Why put all the other kids in their class at risk? Poor buddy has had a fever every day since then at some point. He was swabbed for the flu, his ears and lungs are clear, so the pediatrician thinks it is viral. My thought was to go ahead and expose taylor so he would get it at thes ame time and Turner would have entertainment.
WRONG IDEA. Turn slept for hours and mommy entertained Taylor. Man, I could have gotten a lot done with only Turn!!! Actually, I had good bonding one on one with both boys, which is rare, because their nap schedules were different. Here are some photos from the week:
The boys chilling in their cars...we went on many walks!!
Trouble with a CAPITOL T! Notice Taylor holding the spoon. We all shared ice cream last weekend for the boy's first time! Taylor loved it so much that he insisted on taking the spoon with him.
Taylor having lunch, as his brother slept. He kept looking over at the chair and babbling, " where is my bro?"
LUNCHTIME! Their interest in my food is terrible. They are not into their usual foods...hopefully, they will be back into their veggies after this virus leaves! Notice Turner holding his medicine spoon. Poor buddy.

Desperate measures...anything to entertain them. I brought out all sorts of tricks. The swiffer was a huge hit and the feather duster!!!! Well, until Taylor decided to bonk Turner on the head and think it made a good sound. BONK. WAAAAIIII!!!
Typical. We show up at the pediatricians and they decide to nap. NO!!! Let's nap at home so mommy can shower, brush her teeth, pee, normal things a mommy does before being woken up with piercing screams at 5 am!!!

PS- Pants were a thing of the past. When you forget that fiber one muffins might not be the best thing for babies and end of changing way too many diapers ina 15 minute period, pants are not seen as a essential!
Toot-toot. False alarm, that is only a toot. BOOM-BOOM. That is the real thing times 2!
** At the time of this blog, the nursery is quiet and Taylor has been virus free/fever free. Surely, he is was going to get it, he would have by now? Pray for good health for our babies and us!!!
Taylor-13 months
Taylor is either "on " or "off". Here are some "on" pictures. Taylor loves to laugh and when he does, it will melt your heart. When he is crying, you want to jump off the bridge! He likes to be tickled in his thighs and loves to be thrown into the air by his daddy.

Happy birthday, Nanny Yoshino!
In honor of Nanny's "something" birthday, the Slades made the weekend trip to Charlotte. One of the main attractions was the boys showing off their walking, running, laughing and wild behavior at Nanny's retirement community's dining hall. (Nanny has her own living independent apartment and a meal plan, so we were all invited!)
Uncle Jim (mom's bro), Nannny, Boo, Gan, Taylor, Ben and Turner as I take the photo. Notice how the boys are sitting so still. Fast forward 15 minutes and they are running through the halls, grabbing onto resident's walkers and wheelchairs, while trying to escape up the elevator or out the front door. Hilarious!
Back at Nanny's place....
Again...Gotta love the "infamous" stares. Turner stares at the camera and Taylor stares" who the heck are you?" at Uncle Jim. Uncle Jim came in from Wisconsin. We missed you, Aunt Micki. Hopefully you are still tanning yourself in sunny, warm Florida!
Taylor driving his new vehicle, which was found at Aunt Carrie's house!
You know, Turn! Of course, he would find something to carry around.
Mommy with Turner, Savannah and "staring" Taylor in the playroom at Carrie's house!
Another quick photo opportuinity after a fabulous take out Chinese dinner. Thanks Boo and Gan. John 5--we loved your homemade cupcakes!!! Happy birthday, Nanny!!!
Classic shot at 12 months: Taylor is into patting things. Yesterday, he was patting daddy on his shoulder. In this photo, he was patting Savannah on the head. Repeatedly.
Mommy: " No touch Savannah."
Taylor: smiles, then "whack" on the head
Savannah: thinking and looking puzzled..... "huh"
Mommy and Aunt Caroline: Giggling... " No touch Savannah"
Taylor: smiles, then "whack"
* NICE. At one years old, my boys are ignoring me. Thank goodness I have boys! If Taylor would have been a boy, there already would have been a fight between us.

12 months
Turner- weight was 23 pounds, 1 oz = 50 % ; length 29 in.= 25-50%
Taylor- weight was 24 pounds, 1 oz = 75% ; length 29 in.= 25-50%
The boys did fabulous with their shots and enjoyed a dinner out with mom and dad at Moes!
The best thing about twins is that they have an automatic playmate. We find that they are totally into each other. Playing together, fighting together, feeding each other, laughing at each other. Best buddies!!! Here they are playing with a Christmas gift from last year from Granny and poppy. Good thing, they looked ahead because we need all the entertainment toys we can find!!!
