Here we go to school!

There are always questions about how we make it to school now that we have two very mobile toddlers! So, friends, here is the rundown.....

Leaving the house in the am is usually easy except on trash and recycle days, such as this one. The boys practically chase the poor trucks and their workers down, even after our house has been completed. See the eyes, or lack of. They are FIXATED on the truck!!

We drive to school, park in the parking lot and collect rocks. They can not leave the parking lot without collecting at least two rocks, one for each hand. We then walk through the courtyard/playground, pointing to all the animal murals as mommy says " stay on the sidewalk". Taylor usually gets distracted, while Turner runs forward to point to his favorite animal of the day. At the door, Mommy is provided with the rocks, after much coaxing, so we can say hey to our favorite office assistant, Mrs. Lori.

We have to peer in each classroom on the way, point to the kids on the poster and practically be chased down the hall by mommy.

This stop is a must. We stop and point to every color balloon, before running into the toddler classroom to try to steal a bus off the shelf. (Every day people--it's the same balloons and same bus. No lie.)

" Black balloon" says mommy to Turner as we start naming our balloon. Oh no, as Taylor runs off to see the baby room. He loves the babies, but not nearly as much as loves his old teachers who still spoil him rotten and give him sugar daily!!!

15 minutes later, we enter their classroom. The wailing begins as I say my goodbyes until they are swooped up to wave goodbye to mommy, with no tears in their eyes. Nice show with the tears, boys, but mommy knows you love your school! Mommy and boys wave goodbye, as mommy empties the rocks from her pockets with a big ole smile! Love those boys!!!
