Happy Easter with Boo and Gan

Boo and Gan brought over easter gifts. Yes, mommy and daddy have been outdone again!

Thank you, Nanny Yoshino for our Easter books! We love to read and have thoroughly loved them!!!

Adorable baskets filled with yummy treats and fun toys!

Special time with plenty of ramming time! Mommy loved the free time to drink her coffee while drying and straightening her hair in peace. Thank you, Boo and Gan!

Taylor shares a moment with Gan. I know it seems that Gan has a favorite, but this is not the case. Turner just doesn't like to sit on Gan's lap (or anyone's, other than mommy or daddy).

Playtime with our new loot. AKA: The den is trashed again!!!

Taylor and Gan playing with the basket's ribbons! Oh, I love the bond they have. Taylor Fitzhugh Slade was named right!!!!

Sensational day at the Aquarium

The best thing about being members of the SC Aquarium is that you can visit and not have to stay all day. We love just dropping by, seeing some exhibits, running around and being able to leave when we are tired. As members, we can come and go as much as we like all year. WE LOVE IT!!!

T and T checking out the boats as they strolled by on this beautiful Saturday!

Just some of the "ish" that we saw. (Grunt, grunt, point, point)

Smiling on the park bench....

Sleeping in the car with his hand stuck in his snack cup.

Cuddling with daddy after a good lunch and a busy day.

While Taylor helps mommy water her garden......I mean, play in the hose!!!!

Play Date with Noelle

In honor of my dear friend Heather's visit from Atlanta, we got together with Mrs. Dawn and Noelle. Needless to say, I was too busy chasing the boys as they attempted to swat at Noelle, feed her (Taylor) and drink my wine (Turner) to get any photos of Heather and I. No worries, friends! We got to have a long visit over cocktails and great food at my fave BAMBU after the boys went to sleep. Thanks honey for staying behind with the boys!!

Noelle checking out the boy's pony!!!
Taylor giving Noelle the evil eye as she came close to his snack cup. Nothing gets in the way of Taylor's sncks!!!

Oh, I am so proud of my boy!! No cues....just his sweet heart as he shared many Cheese-It's with Noelle. Taylor loves "babies". He better have gotten his fix because we are too busy and tired for anymore Slade babies!!!

Taylor showing Noelle the ropes of their Baby Einstein toys as he attempts to share his water with her. Sweet boy!!!

Boys will be boys....

We are always looking for "cheap entertainment" for these boys. T and T love to be outside and entertained! They like to make a mess, watch you clean it up, then destroy again. While daddy tried to finish trimming bushes and watering plants and mommy pretended to help (ssshhhhh!), the boys decided to open their own mini pool in our side yard.
Turner turned on the water on as Taylor must have grabbed this old trash can lid. These boys are too smart. We know have to watch what we say and what we do!!

The fun begins....look at Turner's face as he turned it up really high!!!

One foot in..." ahhhhh" says Taylor. Turner smiles.

Three feet in....stomp, stomp comes next!!

You know it! They are fighing over who gets to play with the faucet! (Note the black eye forming on Taylor's left eye--mild fight with the boat trailor. Boat trailor won. Note #2--no tears there, but major meltdown over an old outside faucet.)

Nanny Dove comes to town....

It is always the perfect day when we get a visit from my Nanny Dove! She is 91 and a wonderful lady. Sharper and prettier than me, she lives alone in the same house that she was born in. Here are some photos from our "too-short-a-visit".

"Sick Days"

All working moms will appreciate and empathize with this scenario.

I am at work, minding my own business, when my pager goes off. 722-2027. " Crap." (Ok. Busted, yes, I used a more choice word.) Mother of twin toddlers knows this number all too well.
Per the school, Turner is sick with diarrhea, fever and extreme fussiness.

Yes, the outfits were different upon arrival home, so the diarrhea must have really occured. I was begining to wonder if they were short staffed and needed to get rid of some kids and knew I was a "one out- two gone", but they acted fine!

Since they share everything I figured it was a matter of time before Taylor gets sick, so saltines, applesauce, bananas and water for lunch. Here is a photo of happy boys until they realized that was all they were getting. Happy, not sick acting, laughing, babling, no poop accidents...um, the suspicion grows!

Turner after his nap, still acting fine, as he attempted to put on daddy's sunglasses.

Next day: Turner and Taylor still well. Ok, was my theory right???

Walking the dogs after breakfast in our pj's...

Guinness swimming in the lake. I swear I took him off the leash for less than a minute, called his name, he looked back and ran toward the wtaer. RASCAL!
* At the time of my typing, I did get a bit of a GI thing, so Turner must have had the same thing!
Taylor and daddy remain well and very helpful!!

Shellpoint Easter Egg Hunt

3rd Annual Easter Egg Hunt--- Thank goodness for great neighbors and friends! We love them. This neighborhood is mostly young with kids around the boy's age.

Before the hunt as they take their chariot down to the empty lot on the lake. Thanks to my friends Ellen and Tiffany for laying all of the eggs out!!!

Balloons....Turner's second love after Taylor!!

The boys' triplet, Davis, and Turner before the hunt.

Turner hoarding the eggs before the hunt even started.

Love our neighbors!!!! Shellpoint children galore.....

Taylor holding tight to his one egg.

T and T watching as the big kids went through their loot with our neighbor and good pal, Ashley. Naturally, they loved the noise, more than the actual treat.
