Super Saturday!

It was another wintery day in Charleston. Since the sun was out and it was not too cold, Ben and I attempted to take the boys on a walk with the hounds, but that was veteoed as both boys started screaming. I turned back first with Turner, who fell asleep on my chest. Ben proceeded on, hoping Taylor would "get over it". That he did not. Though, he did fall asleep on the walk back. The poor hounds barely got their heart rate up!!

The rest of the day was spent running errands with Aunt Sabrina. Aunt Sabrina and I ventured to Babies R Us and Sam's. With the boys and their mini bus in tow, we went through the many aisles of Babies R Us, buying only the essentails...$250 later, we left. Man, twins are expensive!!! Thanks to those of you that gave us gift cards along the way, as they really came in handy on this visit!

Reminder to self and to those future moms: Avoid Babies R Us on a Saturday! You have never seen so many people. We laughed at the poor men whose wives had drug them through there to register. We also got a kick out of meeting another mom with 6 month old twin boys in tow...that poor mom was not lucky enough to have her BFF in tow. (Interestingly, she described her Baby A and Baby B just like T and T. Guess it is a twin thing. ) And were excited to see Sabrina's sister, Terri, and her little boy, Walker Wall. Now that is another fine looking boy!!!

And a special thanks to the boys for their amazing behavior! As we raced around Sam's getting essentials for a baby shower for a dear friend, the boys slept. Not a peep was heard! Poor Taylor was almost run over by a lady zooming by with her full cart. She said that she did not see us. Now, any of you that have seen my "mini bus" know, she must have been blind or not paying attention!!! Mommy was standing there with the mini bus, sampling a chip with some dip and "hey, hey, hey" came out of my mouth.... Luckily, mommy saw the lady in time, so Taylor and the chip were saved!!
Turner was laughing at his daddy who was making funny faces. This was after he had a total meltdown. I almost took a picture of it, but hated to frighten any future moms!!
Taylor was enjoying his rice cereal. We have been inconsistently offering this to them on a spoon for the last week. At first, the interest was not there and with them teething and colds, we did not want to push it. Mommy is happy to report to her speech friends... " anticipatory mouth opening and oral manipulation is improving by the day, although there is much anterior spillage".

Turner is getting a tooth too! His tooth is coming in the front top (Taylor already has one on the bottom and another one is about to break the skin!). Poor guys...they look like they must hurt!! It must feel better to chew on things because both boys are exploring their toys orally.

Taylor was exercising with his dumbell.

Mommy with Turner and Aunt Sabrina with Taylor before their outing. Thanks Brina for going with us and helping out! What we would have done without the extra set of hands, we have no idea. Daddy said thanks too. He enjoyed catching up on some paperwork without hearing "Ben.....!!!" And I know, was especially thankful to not be drug through Babies R Us!!
